Venue Information: With a handful of our community members' support, HDPA is currently renting a premise 54 Veron St, Wentworthville NSW 2145

For providing the following services.

  • Post-cremation up to 13 days of services.
  • Monthly Ancestral Ceremony in the first year after death (Masika Sraddham)
  • Ancestral ceremony (Annual Sraddham) done as a full ceremony with Homam (Parvana Vidhaanam involving Fire Oblations, Pinda-danam, Tarpanam, and feeding two Brahmanas (bhoktas), etc.)
  • Ancestral ceremony (Annual Sraddham) done in a simpler form without Homam (Hiranya Roopam - Tarpanam (Libation), uncooked food items to be given, Pinda Danam also done in some family tradition)

Note: It is upto the responsibility of the patrons to have a Priest confirmed before booking, as HDPA does not arrange for Priest for the bookings.

Venue Conditions of Entry: Conditions of entry for Patrons using Narayana Theertham

  • NSW Government Covid-19 guidelines must be followed
  • Flowerpot to be used for (khuli) not on the ground
  • Front room can be used parallelly for Hiranya Shraardha when Shraardha is done outside
  • Dispose of all the rubbish before you leave
  • Do not leave any leftovers in the fridge/groceries
  • No perishables to be left in the fridge like flowers, fruits, milk, curd, ghee, i.e., please empty fridge before leaving
  • Dispose all paper waste put in the yellow bin
  • Dispose all general waste in the red bin.
  • No deep-fried oil should be left over
  • No articles to be brought to Narayan Theertham without the permission from the president
  • Kitchen utensils / vessels must be cleaned and kept before leaving
  • No personal kitchen utensils / vessels should be left behind
  • Do not forget to register your name and contact details in the book provided i.e., name/address/email/mob no
  • Close all windows before you leave if you have opened any
  • Make sure all the doors are locked
  • Before locking make sure all the lights are switched off
  • NSW Government Covid-19 guidelines must be followed
Note: An additional $50 refundable deposit must be paid along with usage charges before the venue booking can be confirmed. This is collected for cleaning the premise in case the occupier is not able to clean properly. The occupier must clean the property after usage and provide us with photos of the cleaned property, including clearing out bins and fridge. Upon which we will refund the amount to the specified bank account.

About HDPA

Hindu Dharma Paripalana Association (HDPA) Incorporated was established in Sydney NSW to support post funeral ceremony needs of our community. This project was named as “Narayana Theertham” and was launched on 8th October 2020.

Post funeral ceremonies are to be followed as per Scriptures and guided by Shastras and Sampradaya (traditions). Many families are handicapped without proper resources or facilities in place to conduct such post funeral ceremonies.

The Narayana Theertham project requires to be supported wholeheartedly and nurtured by the community. Our ultimate goal is to purchase a permanent place for the above stated purpose which can be utilised by our community for years to come.
